A MAN has died in the wake of a crash on Military Road, police have confirmed.
Yesterday (Wednesday), a serious crash closed part of the road, and emergency service teams were called to the scene.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, police, firefighters and paramedics all responded to the incident, which happened at around 3.30pm.
They were alerted to a single vehicle collision near Whale Chine, between Brighstone and Chale.

A motorbike left the carriageway and came to rest in a roadside ditch.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary previously said another motorcyclist may have been riding just ahead of the motorbike involved in the collision.
The incident sparked an appeal for information from police, who asked witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting 44230331189.
A motorcyclist in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene, police can now reveal.
His family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.
