ADDITIONAL Red Jet sailings have been cancelled tommorrow morning (Thursday), as Red Jet 7 is taken back out of service.

The 06:15, 07:35 and 08:55 services from Southampton and the 06:55, 08:15 and 09:35 services from West Cowes have also been cancelled.

This is to allow for further investigation works and repairs on Red Jet 7.

A spokesperson from Red Funnel said: “We have reviewed the repairs required on Red Jet 7 and works are due to continue until tomorrow morning.

“We sincerely apologise for the disruption this will cause to passengers’ journeys and we are keeping customers updated through text alerts, social media updates and our live service status.

"Our engineers are working hard to get Red Jet 7 back in service as quickly as possible.

"We encourage customers to consider using our vehicle ferry service as an alternative option, which is currently running to timetable.”

Yesterday, tugs escorted the vessel back to Southampton after it encountered problems mid-Solent, and was withdrawn from service to be repaired.

This morning, Red Jet 7 was brought back into service but is once again out of service with the same engine issue.

Live service status information is available on the red funnel website.
