The Island has had 15 further coronavirus cases confirmed today, according to the latest data from Public Health England.

It takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 699.

These cases are of people registered as living on the Island.

Figures released by Public Health England yesterday broke down the age of recently found Covid-19 cases by date and account for the increase since it was last reported.

New data revealed 20-24 years age group is the hotspot for Covid-19 cases on the Isle of Wight, where cases in that segment are rising faster than any other age group.

Today, three school settings have sent students home after Covid cases were found — these were Cowes Enterprise College, Binstead Primary School, and The Island VI Form.
