THE Isle of Wight Festival will be opening earlier than usual this year, with a live Peter Crouch Podcast covering England’s EURO football match.

The group stage match between England and Denmark takes place on the opening day of the festival, on Thursday, June 20.

The Big Top Field will open at 4.30pm for some pre-match podcast build-up ahead of a 5pm kickoff.

There will also be a post-match podcast debrief with ‘Crouchy’ and the team.

Kicking off the festival weekend, It promises ‘football banter’, ‘insightful discussions’ and ‘banging tunes’ from the RPJ Band who will perform after the podcast concludes.

Following on from that, festivalgoers can enjoy listening to Norwegian singer-songwriter Dagny, and pop-rock band Scouting for Girls will close the Big Top on Thursday night.

The England game will also be shown outdoors on a big screen in Electric Ladyland.
