With three months remaining until the Isle of Wight Festival opens its gates for 2024, organisers have revealed this year’s theme!

The festival, which returns to Seaclose Park this summer, boasts an enviable line-up, with The Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys and Green Day all headlining the main stage.

Last month, a fresh batch of acts were added to the line-up, including Jessie J and The Pretenders.

Prepare yourself for flower crowns, fairy wings and midsummer folklore gear, as this year’s theme is Summer Solstice!

At the summer solstice, the Sun travels the longest path through the sky, and that day therefore has the most daylight.

It marks the official start of the astronomical summer and the longest day of the year.

This year, it will be Thursday, June 20 - the opening day of the 2024 Festival.

Tickets for the festival, which runs from June 20, to June 23, have been on general sale since November of last year.

Headlining the main stage on the Friday night will be English electronic group The Prodigy, who also played here in 2006, 2009 and 2015.

On Saturday, the legendary duo Pet Shop Boys will take to the main stage.

They will perform as part of their Dreamworld tour, which has been described as "an ecstatic presentation of 40 years of brilliance".

American rock heroes Green Day will close the show on Sunday with their first-ever Isle of Wight Festival performance.
