AN ISLE of Wight drink driver involved in a two-car crash in Shalfleet has been banned from the road.  

Jodie Fishwick, of Mitchells Road, Ryde, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, May 7.

The 35-year-old admitted drink driving in Shalfleet on April 19.

The court heard she registered a breath-alcohol reading of 61 when the legal limit is 35.

Emergency services were called to the collision, near the New Inn traffic lights, at 5.55pm.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were all in attendance.

The crash involved a grey Kia and a red Peugeot and resulted in minor injuries to one of those involved.

Fishwick was fined £450 and disqualified from driving for 17 months.

She was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £180 surcharge.
