Among recent Isle of Wight planning applications, in St Helens, the owners of the Carpenters Farm campsite want to demolish barns and build a two-bedroomed house, with two parking spaces. The plans (24/00494/FUL and 22/01158/3QPA) have been lodged with County Hall.
In Godshill, there are plans to turn the former High Street Chocolate Island shop into a two-bedroomed home with holiday accommodation. Listed building consent is needed, if the proposal is to go ahead. The shop closed permanently in April 2023, having been open since 2008. See its proposal at 24/00488/FUL on the council's website.
