We had a flurry of emails about the incredible Cassidy Ley, who is terminally ill.

The 19 year old has bravely dealt with many illnesses since she was born but her friends and family say she has never complained, smiles constantly and gives so much to others.

Jodie Lacey says her cousin, Cassidy, has inspired her "by facing her prognosis like a warrior, head on and with a determination to enjoy every second left on earth, and at the same time hoping to inspire others through embracing the worst."

Jodie's GoFundMe page set out to ensure Cassidy can fulfil some of her dreams and has raised an amazing amount.

"Cassidy is selfless and is an absolute joy to be around despite her constant pain," said Jodie.

You also told us about the Isle of Wight Foodbank's Hannah King.

She first started supporting Islanders in crisis around a decade ago and has headed up the operation, which is now part of the Trussell Trust, from its base in Cowes.

Meanwhile, Sarah Turtle called empowerment and business coach, Kate Taylor, 'the human dream catcher.'

Sarah said: "Kate works tirelessly to help make people realise their full potential and their dreams.

"I recently attended her book launch in Cowes where she was inspiring women and talking about her work.

"She is empowering, inspirational and motivating and provides coaching and dream making and helps people turn them into realities."

We had more than one nomination for St George's School's Claire Slade-Carter.

Claire runs Sporting Opportunities Isle of Wight and has been part of it all, helping people with learning disabilities for more than 20 years.

Lydia Wyeth called Claire, "strong, helpful and a really good fighter voice for our rights.

"She has fought and made sure children have a club to be proud of, while standing at the back in awards and wants our children and athletes and volunteers to be at the front. It is time that she is!

She is "kind and works very hard", said Elly Chessel.

Rhi Kinnair said of Anne Crabbe and June Kinnair: "My mum and aunty have been caring for my grandma after she had a bad fall the other week and ended up in hospital.

"They have been constantly checking up on her.

"They've had brilliant patience and are definitely two of the most inspiring women I know."

Community heroes Joyce Milford from Baby Box, which provides food, baby and children’s clothes and equipment, and Ventnor's food pantry, East Cowes Pantry's Jane Allchorn and Pan Together's Rachel Thomson were all nominated by Emma Jupe.

Tracy Mikich nominated Zoe Thompson of Wight Trash, for working to promote mental health via skateboarding and her " tireless championing of small businesses" in Ryde.
