HEAVY rain has seen flood warning signs erected at several Isle of Wight locations this afternoon (Tuesday).

Island Roads says signs are in place at Broad Lane, Brighstone, Parkhurst Road, opposite St Mary's Hospital, and Whitwell Road, Ventnor.

“This means the roads are passable with care to most vehicles,” said a spokesperson for Island Roads.

“Once again, we would urge all people to take additional care wherever they are on the network while these exceptionally wet conditions remain.”
