Isle of Wight police are responding to a crash involving a zebra crossing in Ryde tonight (Thursday).
UPDATE: Police have made an arrest.
Officers have been called to the scene on East Hill Road, opposite its junction with Ampthill Road.
A van appears to have reversed into a pedestrian crossing post.
A County Press reader said Island Roads workers are at the scene carrying out repair work in the wake of the crash.
