The Isle of Wight's Sandown Carnival saw crowds fill the streets and an array of creative and eye-catching costumes, yesterday (Saturday).

5: The Isle of Wight Highland Pipes and Drums

Dressed in perfectly-pressed tartan, these guys and gals wowed the crowds with some traditional tunes.

But get this, only one of them is Scottish!


4: I’ve come as a bigger version of myself!

Isle of Wight County Press: Spotted at Sandown Carnival.

This creative costume was made as part of a final year project at St Martin’s College. Yes, the one featured in the Pulp song.


3: Is this man a reveller or a member of the St John Ambulance?

The costume is so accurate it is hard to tell.

2: St Catherine's School chose a colourful get up to sing - and sign - Walking on Sunshine, by Katrina and Waves.
