A new weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight Met Service says Islanders can expect 20 to 30mm of rain, in a short space of time.

The warning is in place from 12pm today (Friday) until 7pm tonight.

The IW Met Service said: "A large area of rain will affect the island throughout the day, although during the afternoon some embedded downpours are likely to develop (perhaps thundery), and whilst not everywhere will see the heaviest rainfall, some places may well see accumulations of 20-30mm falling in a fairly short space of time."

Two other warnings also come into force tomorrow (Saturday, July 15).

A Met Office alert for strongs winds will be in place, alongside a separate warning from the IW Met Service.

A number of events have had to be rescheduled because of the forecast.

Isle of Wight Pride weekend has been pushed back until next month (August).

While the Warrior Festival, and Sunset Sessions at Robin Hill have both been postponed.
