A Carisbrooke road has re-opened following a car crash last night (Tuesday).
Mountbatten Drive was cordoned off by police after a car crashed into several parked vehicles.
UPDATE: The driver has since died, police have announced
The incident took place between the junctions of Millfield Road and Redwood Close, and two laybys of parked cars were affected.
A patient was conveyed to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance.

A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust said: "Three frontline ambulances attended an incident in Mountbatten Drive, Carisbrooke, this evening. The patient was conveyed to St Mary's Hospital."
