Roads in the Church Litten area of Newport are closed this afternoon (Friday) following an incident outside Marks and Spencer.
Three police cars and two ambulances are in attendance.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has also landed at Church Litten.
Traffic is being diverted but is starting to build around the town.
Eyewitnesses are saying a pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and the road into the Church Litten area is closed.
