A worried daughter from the Isle of Wight is appealing for our help to bring her dad home, after he suffered a bleed on the brain, while in the Philippines.

Jodie Hudson, who lives in East Cowes, says her dad was previously fit and well.

George Hudson was regularly looking after his farm animals, cooking and enjoying life with his wife, Jo, when tragedy struck, on January 6.

Jo found her husband collapsed on the floor, unable to move, or to speak properly.

George spent twelve days in hospital and is currently being cared for at home, by Jo, but he is paralysed on one side, is unable to sit up without help and cannot eat solid food.

Jodie told the Isle of Wight County Press: "Dad was always a very active guy and he worked all his life, here in the UK."

She says it will cost nearly £30,000 to bring George back to the UK, on a specialist medical flight and has launched a GoFundMe appeal, in a desperate bid to raise the cash.

Jodie said: "Dad has many friends and family and is a well-loved by so many.

"Please, in this desperate, serious time, any help is much appreciated.

"I know he would also be so grateful for any help and support to be given a second chance at life."
