Children across the Isle of Wight were getting into the Christmas spirit in the run up to today - and we have some wonderful photos to share with you!

At Brighstone Primary, the whole school performed A King is Born, in the village's St Mary's Church.

Children in years 1 and 2 took the main speaking parts, while the other years all had crucial roles, plus there were songs and bell ringing - and possibly the best photo of angels you will see this year.

At Lanesend Primary, a Christmas Story in Song evening saw families enjoy a performance outdoors.

Each year group sang a medley of songs or poems.

Despite the chilly weather, the school says its children were all absolute superstars - and the evening was made even more magical when snow began to fall!

Cowes Primary School went to St Mary's Church for its Christingle Service.

It also staged its Christmas production, Hey Joe - a modern twist on the traditional nativity story.

Just before Christmas, its early years pupils also performed to loved ones - with a range of music styles from around the world!
