A MAIN Isle of Wight road has been closed this morning (Thursday, November 24) following a crash at a crossroads.
Forest Road in Newport has been closed by police after a collision at Vittlefields Cross.
The Middle Road has also been closed between The Blacksmiths and The Waverley due to pre-planned Southern Water roadworks.
Southern Vectis route seven will be diverted via Brighstone, Mottistone, Brook to Chessell Crossroads, then right to either Newbridge or Elm Lane to Shalfleet.
The diversion will operate in both directions.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has been contacted for a statement.
