Co-founder Tony Steyger said: "We launched last year as an Island-based production company and we've had our first BBC broadcast with a short film for The One Show about Foraging with chef patron Robert Thompson

"Barbara (Mackie) and I would like to thank everyone who has given us words of encouragement over the months, some gentle nudges in the right direction and the occasional almighty shove.

"We also are indebted to the top team we worked with to set up, research, shoot, edit and deliver the film here, in Southampton and in London.

"There will be more shorts to come for The One Show. For example, to mark Remembrance Week 2022 we are making an extraordinary filmed story presented by Dan Snow from a 1930s cinema in Barnsley."

Students at Cowes Enterprise College appeared on the One Show segment with BBC presenter Chris Bavin and Robert Thompson.

Student Louie foraged for wild ingredients including blackberries and apples with his step-father Robert. He said: “I like being out in the fresh air in the mornings and looking through bushes – it’s just a bit of an adventure really.”

The ingredients were then brought to Cowes Enterprise College, where Robert gave students a masterclass in cooking in the hope of inspiring the next generation of foragers.

Students then produced apple tarts with a blackberry compote, using the foraged ingredients.

Cowes Enterprise College principal, Rachel Kitley, said: “It was really lovely to hear that students enjoyed their time cooking with foraged ingredients. We are grateful to Robert Thompson, Chris Bavin, and the BBC Team for such an exciting opportunity.

"We aim to educate for life at Cowes Enterprise College and we are pleased to offer our students a range of experiences to enrich their education.”
