FIREFIGHTERS have been called to an incident at GKN this afternoon (Friday).

Fire crews have been spotting approaching the site, and a fire alarm has been sounding for at least 20 minutes.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight fire and rescue service said: "Newport and Ryde firefighters were called at 4.15pm this afternoon.
"Smoke was reported at an industrial premises on Ferry Road in East Cowes.
"Crews remain on the scene, with firefighters in breathing apparatus investigating the building."
