TRAFFIC disruption on the Middle Road should be expected this morning (Sunday), following reports of a crash.
A collision has happened close to The Blacksmiths pub on Calbourne Road, near Betty Haunt Lane, on the outskirts of Newport.
Southern Vectis route seven has been diverted via Elm Lane, Shalfleet and Gunville in both directions due to the crash.

Rt 7 via Newbridge will divert via Elm Lane, Shalfleet and Gunville in both directions due to an RTI by Blacksmiths Arms. As soon as we ascertain the road is open, we will update and return to normal route.

UPDATE: The road has since reopened.
