THE Middle Road was closed earlier today (Sunday) after a crash involving a Range Rover and a Honda on the outskirts of Newport.
Police were called at around 10.30am to the crash which happened outside The Blacksmiths pub.
The collision involved a grey Land Rover Evoque and a black Honda Civic.
Ambulance teams were called to assist the driver of the Honda, a 23-year-old man from London, who suffered injuries to his arm and back.
His injuries are not thought to be serious.
The Land Rover driver was a 52-year-old from Kingsbridge in Devon.
Middle Road was closed but reopened at around 12.25pm.
