A MAN has been taken to hospital following a serious crash on The Downs Road near Knighton this afternoon (Wednesday, August 17).
The crash happened at lunchtime, with emergency services alerted at around 12.45pm.
Fire crews worked to cut the man free from his vehicle, after the collision left him trapped inside.
A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital for treatment.
The Downs Road was closed between the Hare and Hounds Pub and the Brading Downs Road, but has since reopened.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed a further single vehicle collision happened on the same road shortly before 2.15pm.
