ISLE of Wight band Wet Leg release their eagerly anticipated self-titled debut album today (Friday).

Since unleashing their first single in June last year, things have moved at lightning speed for Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers.

From selling out all their live shows in minutes, performing on US TV three times, being crowned No. 2 in BBC’s Sound of 2022 to racking up 40 million global streams and nine million YouTube views.

They have also been touted, most recently, by Dave Grohl, Lorde, Simon Le Bon and Jack White.

Isle of Wight County Press:

The band announced the name of their new album exclusively in a full-page advert in the County Press last year.

They are also set to appear at this year's Isle of Wight Festival in June.

The band have just completed an extensive round of touring in North America including roadblock SXSW showcases, playing the Academy Awards pre-party for YSL, as well as performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden.

They’ve also confirmed their UK and Ireland touring plans for November 2022, including two dates at London’s O2 Forum.

Fresh from their appearance at the BBC 6 Music Festival, they’ve been announced for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekender in May and are also as the only addition to BBC Radio 1’s Brit List.

Debut album Wet Leg is available on exclusive clear vinyl (with a 7” of two non-album tracks) via the band’s webstore, standard vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally.

A variety of merchandise is available too.
