MULTIPLE fire crews have been called to a fire in a Ventnor care home this morning (Saturday).
Crews from Shanklin, Newport and Ryde have all been called to the scene on Alpine Road - to Ward House Care Home.

Their assistance was requested at 9.32am.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service said the fire was caused by a Faulty light fitting.
Two breathing apparatus and a single hosereel was used.
Fire crews have since stood down. Firefighters remain at the scene and are directing traffic.
Residents have been brought out of their rooms and smoke is being cleared from a basement, where an electrical fault is thought to have started the fire.
