COASTGUARD Rescue Helicopter 175 was among emergency service called to the cliffs at Luccombe last night after a man fell down one of the cliff faces in the area.
Bembridge, Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue teams and Sandown Inshore Rescue Lifeboat were also tasked to the scene following a report at 9.28pm from the Isle of Wight Ambulance.
Two friends of the casualty had attempted to assist him, with all three unable to recover to the cliff top.
All three were located and recovered ashore from cliff base by Sandown Lifeboat to the awaiting ambulance.
This follows a similar incident on Friday, where a person was airlifted to Southampton.
