DRAMATIC photographs have now been made available of the rescue of a man who was airlifted to a mainland hospital after he had fallen from a cliff onto rocks near Shanklin.
Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams, Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175, Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were called yesterday afternoon (Friday) to the rocks at the base of cliffs in Luccombe.

The casualty, with a suspected head injury, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.
The rescue was hampered by someone irresponsibly using a drone to capture footage of it.
