The latest government data has seen 89 new Covid-19 cases added to the Isle of Wight's total today (Sunday).

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 5,862 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the Island.

Yesterday, 81 news cases were added and there were 99 new cases on Friday.

Two new deaths in hospital on the Isle of Wight have also been confirmed today (Sunday) - though the patients died on January 22.

Meanwhile, the Isle of Wight's rolling average remains above average for the country, but is showing a downward trend.

In the seven days to January 19, per 100,000 people, there were 512.8 cases.

That is compared to 557.2, to January 18.
