A case of Covid-19 in Newport's Nine Acres primary school community has not required anyone else to isolate.

Public Health England (PHE) has advised the school that it can carry on as normal.

The PHE advice is based on when the person was last on the school site.

As a result, Nine Acres has told parents that it remains open to all.

Meanwhile, the County Press has been told that children from a bubble at Brighstone Primary are isolating.

The school sent a message to parents yesterday (Thursday).

It remains open for all but a 'small group' of pupils - all of who have been notified.

The Isle of Wight County Press is awaiting a statement from the Isle of Council.

Yesterday Medina College sent a similar message to parents.
