The Isle of Wight's Floating Bridge is still off this morning (Tuesday).
In a statement yesterday, the Isle of Wight Council said it had hoped the link between Cowes and East Cowes would be up and running at 5am.
It said: "“The defective ram will be replaced by the shipbuilders.
"They will then test the operation of the new unit and examine the failed unit to understand the cause.
“Assuming the works progress as planned and the test is successful, the vessel will return to service tomorrow morning at 5am.”
It is not back in action yet, though.
