It was an exciting matchday for Isle of Wight cricket club Shanklin and Godshill, with standout performances and a significant milestone as the Third XI celebrated their first win of the season.

The First XI faced a tough match, losing the toss and being put in to field under the hot sun.

Twyford set a challenging target of 245-5. However, J. White shone with the ball, taking three wickets for 40 runs.

Despite some individual efforts, including M. Lambourne's top score of 45, Shanklin and Godshill struggled to reach 152 all out, losing by 93 runs.

In a thrilling contest, the Second XI scored a massive 286-4, thanks to J. Thorn's impressive 102 in his 20th senior century and J. Downer's superb 114 in his debut senior century.

Unfortunately, Northwood chased down the target with 287-5, winning narrowly by five wickets in a nail-biting finish.

The Third XI finally found their rhythm, winning by 63 runs. They posted 252-8, led by D. Bright's brilliant 112.

Ryde's seconds struggled in their chase, finishing at 233-7, with A. Burden taking five wickets.
