Newport Football Club’s season gets underway on the Isle of Wight tonight (Wednesday).

The Island outfit welcome Lymington Town to Beatrice Avenue for their first fixture of the new season.

Kick off is at 7.45pm.

Lymington come into the game off the back of a 3-1 loss to Frimley Green.

Fellow division one side East Cowes Vics, meanwhile, are set to take on Hamworthy United at the weekend, on August 10.

In the premier division, on the same day, Cowes Sports will face off against Hamworthy Recreation.
