Isle of Wight Rugby Club (IWRFC) continued to mark its centenary with a match between a Club XV and an IWRFC President's invitational XV, at Wootton Rec, on Sunday, March 31.

A mixed touch match and a Vectis RFC U10s exhibition match preceded the game.

A strong President's XV won the high-scoring main match comprehensively, fielding ex-IWRFC players along with players from the other Island clubs.

Jesse Butchers and Jack Davis were among those who scored more than once, for a team selected by President Dave Metcalfe and captained by stalwart Ollie Boulter.

Meanwhile, the Club XV scored four tries: Two for captain Luke Blackman and one each for Dave Hanson and George Huish.

Evergreen prop, Martin Newnham, was named Biffa man of the match.

Off the pitch, players and supporters, along with club members past and present, came together to toast Isle of Wight RFC.

More than £500 was raised for MNDA Isle of Wight.

On Saturday, April 4, Isle of Wight First play their final home game, welcoming Overton.

The seconds take on New Milton.
