While other games had to be called off due to the rain, Cowes Sports flew the flag for Isle of Wight Wessex League football today (Saturday, November 18), welcoming Hythe and Dibden to Westwood Park.

The first goal hit home in the 29th minute - but it went to the visitors, thanks to the efforts of Craig McAllister.

At half time, The Yachtsmen were down 0-1 but it didn't stay that way for long.

An equaliser and a second followed, in the second half and shortly before the final whistle, the Islanders consolidated their win with a third.

In Division One, Newport vs New Milton Town and East Cowes Vics vs Millbrook were called off after pitch inspections.
