MORE than 70 riders signed up to compete in the final round of the Wightlink-Wight Mountain CRT (WLWMCRT) Evening TT Series.

Conditions hampered the chances of the course record being broken but didn’t stop some competitors from smashing their PBs.

WLWMCRT rider Kev Chant (20:13), fresh from winning gold at the Island Games, took the overall series title, ahead of James Veal and Simon Ambrosini.

In so doing, James secured the title in the Vet 40 category, and Chris Till topped the Non-WLWM category.

Martin Piper (23:33) put in another solid performance to top the Vet 50 category, and Steve Taylor (25:29) retained the Vet 60 title.

Dominique Munday (27:11) took another well-deserved win, despite a mechanical issue before the race, to be named the women’s overall champion.

Ewan Cook (23:27) dominated the junior category for the boys – his second series title – and Phoebe Heng (32:30) took the title for the girls.
