AN ISLE of Wight golfing ace bagged himself a trophy in a major competition.

Brandon Robinson-Thompson, who made the cut for the Qatar Masters back in 2020 and grew up playing the sport at Freshwater Bay Golf Club, earned first place at the NI Open at Galgorm Castle.

It marks the second time he has won on the Clutch Pro Tour, and the third time he has won this season, leading the NI Swing Series Order of Merit.

In so doing, he has secured his place in the ISPS Handa World Invitational, which runs between August 17 and 20.

“I couldn’t do it without so many people.

“My fiancee, friends, family and sponsors; thank you, and here’s to many more!”
