An Isle of Wight man has been counting his medal tally after successful showings at two national athletic championships.
Earlier this year, Steve Davis entered three events in the M65 – M69 age group at The British Masters Winter Throws Championship, held in Oxford.
In the discus, Steve finished fifth but claimed two bronze medals in the javelin and weight – a 9kg short hammer – competitions.
Steve also entered a non-championship shot competition, where he claimed second place.
On the weekend of May 13/14, Steve entered five events in the Southwest Veterans Athletic Championships.
He collected four gold medals in the 100m, discus, shot and javelin events and secured silver in the long jump.
