ALL three Isle of Wight Wessex League sides are back in action this afternoon, and a result for East Cowes Vics will help Newport in their efforts to displace the league leaders.
The Vics take on top-of-the-table Andover New Street in Wessex League Division One, hoping to build on their 1-1 draw with Fleetlands last weekend.
In so doing, they could do Newport a favour.
Third in the table, Newport host Amesbury Town, and if results go their way, they could find themselves back in second place – just a single point shy of the league leaders.
Cowes Sports, meanwhile, face Baffins Milton Rovers in the Premier Division, and a win will keep them well away from the drop zone.
The Yachtsman were well beaten by Portland United in their last outing.
All three games kick off at 3pm.
