WESSEX LEAGUE DIVISION 1

DOWNTON 4, EAST COWES VICS 2

SECOND placed Downton entertained struggling East Cowes Vics in what turned out to be a deserved win for the high-flying Robins.

Downton got off to a flyer — taking the lead in the opening minute through Kris Krystofowicz.

Downton's second from Ollie Davies came midway through the first half, before Charlie MARSEK pulled one back for Vics in first half injury time.

The second half was dominated by Downton, who made it 3-1 from the penalty spot, scored again by Krystofowicz, less than a minute after the restart.

But the Robins's fourth came a Craig Tyson free kick, which no one got a touch to, on 70 minutes.

The defeat leaves Vics struggling third off the bottom.

On one bright note, Jordan Chapman made his 150th appearance for the club.
