TOP darts player from the Isle of Wight, Keegan Brown — a key worker with the NHS — was left frustrated after being forced to pull out of the PDC Home Tour due to an internet glitch last night (Tuesday).

On the 12th night of the tour, Keegan, 27 — a laboratory assistant at St Mary's Hospital, Newport — was forced out on technical issues.

It allowed German rival, Max Hopp, to step in and win his group and make it through to the knock-out stages.

Keegan was on a rare night off from working in the blood testing laboratory, but he ran into technical issues after his first match and his position in the event became too difficult to come back from.

The Islander's only match was against Conan Whitehead.

He lost it, but did hit an outrageous 154 checkout in 12 darts in one leg.
