THE ISLE of Wight's ace with the arrows, Keegan Brown, gets his bid to try to win this year's William Hill World Darts Championship, at Alexander Palace, London, under way this afternoon (Saturday).

Joining the tournament in the second round display of darts' biggest event, the 27-year-old, of Newport, faces Seigo Asada, of Japan, at 12.30pm.

Asada, nicknamed The Ninja, is currently ranked 104th in the world.

The qualifier for the tournament beat Northern Ireland's Mickey Mansell 3-0 in the first round.

Should he beat Asada, Keegan will likely play his third round match against Scottish world number seven, Peter Wright, on Monday.

Keegan, whose odds of winning the title are 300-1, is among a field of 96 players.

Matches can be seen live on the dedicated Sky Sports Darts channel.
