Best Pairs speedway event postponed tomorrow (Tuesday) following forecast for thunderstorms.
WITH a weather warning already in place for thunderstorms tomorrow evening (Tuesday), speedway at Ryde's Smallbrook Stadium has been postponed.
Isle of Wight Wightlink Warriors management made the early decision to halt the annual Volunteers Best Pairs meeting amid the poor forecast.
The event, which will feature six pairs teams, will be re-staged on Thursday, July 18.
The next speedway meeting at Smallbrook will be double header, the Warriors' National League fixture against the Kent Kings, and the Isle of Wight Wightlink Wizards against the Weymouth Wildcats in the Development League, on Thursday, June 27.
