SEVERAL Olympic riders are among those competing at the new London Capital and Finance Osborne Horse Trials on the Isle of Wight later this month.
British multi-time Olympians, William Fox-Pitt and Mary King, plus seven-times Australian Olympian, Andrew Hoy, are among the big names who will be riding at the event on July 25-26.
For Islanders, there will also be a familiar face to watch out for — rising star, Sarah Holmes, who is based at Lake Farm Equestrian Centre, Rookley, on the Isle of Wight.
She will have three horses in the competition — Lowhill Clover, Dunganstown Fleur and Greenvale Coriado.
Sarah’s CV includes a silver medal at the two-star European Eventing Championships in 2015 and more recently, she has ridden at Blenheim, Chatsworth and Bramham International horse trials and gained her first four-star qualification.
