Mr Wilson of Barnet Council states that the Council has consulted with local people who do not want an all-weather pitch on the Barnet College site in Grahame Park Way.
It would seem that this consultation did not take in the views of Mill Hill Sports Club with its 400 or so members, located just down the road.
The member-managed club, which includes Mill Hill Hockey Club, provides sporting facilities for all local people, and would greatly welcome an all-weather pitch here, particularly for its hockey and soccer playing members.
Certainly more than just 'Vince Purdue's football teams' would be keen to use such a facility.
The Club's members (and presumably the College's students) would also greatly benefit from a new pitch here.
