A BUS driver could have been left blinded after being sprayed in the face with CS gas when thugs tried to grab money from him as they boarded his bus.

The incident happened at 1am on Saturday last week on the 340 bus in Uxbridge Road, Harrow.

The two suspects boarded the bus at Station Road, Edgware and then got off the bus and re-boarded in Uxbridge Road, they then tried to grab the money tray before spraying the driver with the noxious gas. The brave 40-year-old held onto the box and the suspects fled empty handed.

The first suspect was a white man, 4ft 11ins, with brown hair and the second, a white female with long blonde hair.

In a separate incident on New Year's Eve, a 22-year-old male bus driver was threatened with a knife by youths boarding his bus in Priory Drive, Stanmore.

The victim handed over the money tray containing £100.

The first suspect was a 16-year-old black male of medium build and who was wearing a dark red hooded Reebok jacket, dark jeans and trainers.

The second was a 16-year-old black male wearing a black Nike hooded top, dark trousers and dark Nike trainers. He also had a gold square ring on his left hand.

The third man was black, aged 16, and was wearing a black hooded top with dark jeans and white trainers. He had an earring in his left ear. Information to 8733 3441.
