WATERCOLOUR artists from Bishop's Stortford and Harlow are showing off their artwork at the Rhodes Gallery in Bishop's Stortford.

The exhibition, Hidden Talents, includes local village scenes as well as nature and wildlife scenes.

Scenes of the River Stort and Bishop's Stortford buildings are featured, as are some of the Himalayas.

Curator Hannah Kay said the four artists first met three years ago while taking classes in painting watercolours. However, they became disenchanted with what they were learning and set up a local art group, called Hidden Talents, so they could learn amongst themselves.

Miss Kay said: "It's quite good to see how much enthusiasm there is in the community for artwork. It's inspiring to think that three years ago these people hadn't even held a paintbrush."

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm, until Saturday.
