LIVE screenings can be found at Ventnor Arts Club and the Quay Arts this week, including a remake of a Dario Argento classic.

Today (June 28), Ventnor Arts Club is hosting its first spoken word night from 7pm.

A number of Island-based writers will be presenting work, and everyone is encouraged to go along, and share words from their poetry, prose, monologues and more.

There will also be time for an open mic session.

On Tuesday (July 2), Ventnor Arts Club is screening Suspiria (18) from 7.30pm.

A remake of Dario Argento's 1977 film of the same name, Suspiria follows the story of a darkness swirling at the centre of a world-renowned dance company — some will succumb to the nightmare, while others will finally wake up.

The film features Tilda Swinton in a number of roles, alongside Dakota Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz, and is directed by Luca Guadagnino.

On Wednesday (July 3), Down to Earth is being shown at Newport Quay Arts from 7.30pm.

The film follows the story of a family of five, breaking away from convention and embarking on the journey of a lifetime.

The family travel to the ends of the earth, searching for a new perspective on life, revealing the deep wisdom they find and its power to transform lives.
