THE 2018 film Puzzle (15), starring Kelly Macdonald, is showing at Brading Roman Villa tomorrow (Saturday).

Agnes, taken for granted as a suburban mother, discovers a passion for solving jigsaw puzzles which unexpectedly draws her into a new world — where her life unfolds in ways she could never have imagined.

Tickets are £5 and the film starts at 7pm.

There are two chances to watch some live screened opera this week, at Ventnor Arts Club.

Die Walküre is the second of four operas that comprise Wagner's Ring Cycle, and will be screened tomorrow (Saturday) from 4pm to 9.30pm.

On Tuesday, Verdi's epic La Forza del Destino comes live from the Royal Opera House from 6pm to 10.30pm, including a star-studded cast of singers such as Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tezier.

On Wednesday, Friends of Freshwater Library are showing The Wife (15) at 7.30pm.

Glenn Close shines with a powerful performance in this film adaptation of the book by Meg Wolitzer. Her character is a devoted wife who questions her life after her husband, played by Jonathan Pryce, is selected to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.

On Thursday, Ventnor Arts Club is showing Beast (15), at 7.30pm.

Moll is 27 and living at home, stifled by the small Island community around her and too beholden to her family to break away.

When she meets the free-spirited Pascal, a whole new world opens up to her, and she starts a new life. But when he is arrested as the key suspect in a series of brutal murders, she is left isolated and afraid.
