THE DAUGHTER of sixties star Mary Hopkin and record producer Tony Visconti is to return to the Isle of Wight for an intimate concert in Newport today (1).

Jessica Lee Morgan is at Caffe Isola in St James Street as part of the Feast of Fridays events staged by Island music promoters thisisnowhere.

The show, which kicks off at 7pm with a support set from local singer Holly Kirby, marks a welcome return to the Isle of Wight for Jessica, who played at Quay Arts last summer.

Jessica has been touring Europe with her live show which features songs from her own three albums as well as some favourites made famous by her mother.

After her Island date, Jessica will join her father in Holy Holy – a Bowie supergroup which also features Ziggy Stardust drummer Woody Woodmansey and Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory – for an extensive UK tour.

Advance tickets priced at £7 are available from Caffe Isola, or online from www.wegottickets.com (subject to booking fee). Isola will be serving pizzas and pastas each night, and tables can be booked in advance, if required.

The Feast of Fridays series concludes next week, Friday 8, with folk-roots singer Naomi Bedford, accompanied by Paul Simmonds of The Men They Couldn't Hang.

Other future thisisnowhere events include Martin and Eliza Carthy at Freshwater Memorial Hall on May 4, Martin Simpson at the same venue on June 9, and Johnny Echols with his legendary Love Band at Newport Strings on June 26.
