Police are hunting for information after a man was reportedly seen 'taking inappropriate photos of girls' at Home Bargains on the Isle of Wight.

The man, reported to be acting suspiciously, is described as white, in his early 50s, 5ft 8in tall and wearing a dark baseball cap, dark glasses, grey trainers, black trousers and a black jumper.

The incident happened around 3pm on Tuesday, September 29.

Police believe a woman may have witnessed the incident and warned a group of girls about the man.

Officers urged anyone with who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward.

The force said it had arrested a 69-year-old man from Totland on suspicion of voyeurism and possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child as part of the investigation.

Police confirmed he has been bailed while enquiries continue.
