Tony Christie to play farewell show on the Isle of Wight

Legendary (Is This the Way to) Amarillo hitmaker Tony Christie is coming to the Isle of Wight next year.

The iconic singer will play Strings Bar and Venue on Friday, May 28, 2027.

He will bring his six decades of entertaining to the intimate setting.

Tickets will go on sale at 7pm today (Friday, October 2).

Tony Christie, known for his 1971 hit Amarillo, has had multiple top 40 singles.

In 2005, he re-released the song with Peter Kay for Comic Relief, which reached number one.

The date forms part of his Great Farewell Tour.

It promises his classic hits alongside reimagined versions featured on his 2025 album, A New Life.

Advance tickets will be available via the Strings website for £32.
